Nano Banana 2 Character Sheets: Same Face in Every Shot
Two generations to a working character sheet, and the two prompt changes that made it work.

Two generations to a working sheet. The first one failed in two specific ways, and both were prompt problems rather than model problems.

Using these reference photos of the same man, create a character model sheet in a single image.
Show five views in one row, left to right:
1. Full side profile, facing the viewer's LEFT
2. Three-quarter, turned toward the viewer's LEFT
3. Front, facing the camera directly
4. Three-quarter, turned toward the viewer's RIGHT
5. Full side profile, facing the viewer's RIGHT
Critical: all five must be photographed from the SAME distance with the SAME lens. Identical
head size in every view. Identical eye line: the eyes sit on one horizontal line across all five.
Keep his features identical throughout: shaved head, close-cropped grey and white beard, same
face shape and build. Black crew-neck t-shirt.

“Three-quarter left” is ambiguous. The first attempt read it as a single rotation and produced five views all facing the same direction. Viewer-relative language, “turned toward the viewer’s left”, fixes it. The same ambiguity cost a reshoot during the photo session.
The heads came out different sizes. Without being told otherwise, the model treats each view as a separate photograph. Stating the camera (same distance, same lens, identical head size, eyes on one horizontal line) is what locked the scale.
The shirt logo rendered as gibberish. AI text always breaks. Either crop above the chest or shoot your references in something unbranded.
Expressions are capped by your reference set. Generating a surprised face came back uncanny because there was no open-mouth photo in the set, so the model had to invent the teeth and mouth interior, which is exactly where it breaks. Attaching a real photo of that expression fixed it in one generation.
