The short version: I collect what you send me, I do not sell it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

What is coming: an email signup run through Klaviyo, and Google Analytics. Both are described below so you can read now what they will mean. When either goes live, this block and the date above change first — and because Google Analytics uses cookies, you will get a choice about those before it runs.
What I collect, and why
What you send me. The quote form at /hire takes your name and email, and optionally your business, a budget range and a message. It goes to my inbox so I can answer you. It is not sold, rented, or handed to a marketing tool.
If you join the email list — when it exists — your email address is stored and sent through Klaviyo, an email platform in the United States. Klaviyo also records whether you opened an email and what you clicked, which is how I know whether something was worth sending. You leave using the unsubscribe link in any email, and that works immediately.
🔴 Filling in the quote form does not put you on that list. They are two different things and one is not permission for the other. You are added because you asked to be, and nowhere else.
Technical information. Like every website, requests here carry an IP address, a browser type and the page asked for. My host uses those to serve pages and block abuse.
If analytics is running — see the block above for whether it is — it would tell me which pages get read and roughly where readers are, in aggregate. I want to know whether an article was worth writing, not who you are.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site leaves in your browser. The block above says whether this site currently sets any. If and when it does, the ones that simply make the site work do not need your permission; anything used for analytics or advertising will ask first, and you can say no and keep using the site normally.
You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Others involved
- Cloudflare hosts this site and delivers the quote form to my inbox. It processes the technical detail of each request to serve pages and block abuse.
- Google Fonts serves two typefaces. Loading them tells Google your IP address, as anything served from another domain would.
- YouTube, where a video is embedded. Those embeds use
youtube-nocookie.com, which holds off on tracking cookies unless you press play. - Klaviyo, once the email list exists. It stores subscriber addresses and records opens and clicks so I can tell whether an email was worth sending.
- Google Analytics, once it is running. It uses cookies to tell me which pages get read and roughly where readers are, in aggregate. I use it to decide what to write next, not to identify anyone.
Links out to Skool, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok are ordinary links. Once you click one you are on their site under their rules.
How long I keep it
Quote requests stay in my email while a conversation is live and for a reasonable time after, in case you come back. Email list addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove them.
Your choices
Email business@seanbradley.dev and ask what I hold, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I will. You do not need to explain why, and you do not need to live anywhere in particular for me to do it.
I do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is for people running a business. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If what I collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Anything that watches what you do here gets written down before it goes live, not after.
